Crawling |
For a baby, crawling is the most vital sign in their development. Mostly baby crawl by 6 months but now it tends to skip or make delays like crawling in 8th - 10th months due to environmental factors. The crawling motion of the baby is by supporting its weight through his hands and knees to proceed in a forwarding direction. Babys adopt varieties of crawling styles to achieve mobility. - Physical development - help to develop gross and motor skills and strengthen muscles in the head, neck, back, arms, and legs.
- Brain development - It helps encourage the crossing of the midline. This is invisible which crosses down in the center and divides the left side from the right side. This crossing of the midline develops in the formation of two hemispheres of the brain. It indicates that the right side of the brain working with the help of the left side and the left side is working with the help of the right side. - Vision - crawling encourages the development of near and far vision. The baby looks for a distant object that they want and then looks into his hands while crawling. - Self-confidence - crawling helps to build confidence as the baby undergoes many obstacles while facing the environment. This helps to make boundaries and make themself strong from failures and build their life to face everything.
